In order to become Ford-certified, a pre-owned vehicle must be less than six years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles on the odometer. Ford factory-trained dealer technicians will then go through each vehicle, performing a rigorous 172-point inspection. If any of the vehicle's parts do not meet Ford's standard, it is replaced with a factory-authorized part.
